To be honest, I thought I would too. I was looking into working part-time again depending on the effect it would have. It’s good news for me, but bad news for customers abroad. :( I thought it was very odd that they made it even more difficult for English speakers. The only reason I can come up with is that they made some kind of deal with Tenso which will profit them more than selling directly. Because of that, I doubt they will fix it. Maybe if a lot of English-speaking customers complain there’s a chance in future. :/
Is this from the newsletter? xD Haha, yes Vampire Forest is in Closet Child. I’m sorry for the torture. Believe me, I know how you feel. It’s my feeling every time I go shopping! Aaah! >.<
Hello, for the re-release you can try through an SS for the online reserve. ^^ However, the physical stores are also allowing people to try and enter the reservation through them. It’s not guaranteed, but it should hopefully increase chances. The stores tend to have a better chance of getting online releases/have certain allocations as far as I know. Basically, I would recommend using an SS to enter the reserve at a physical stores. There’s no 100% guarantee of getting it, but it’s definitely your best chance. Since it’s a re-release I have spots free. If you’d like me to try and get something just email me at contact@tokyopirates.com and I can give you quotes for both online and in-store reservations.
Hello ^^ It depends on how new and in-demand the item is. Although I haven’t dealt with Metamorphose as much directly, if they operate similarly to the other lolita businesses then yes, they’ll often have newer items in-store that are sold out online. The online websites usually have a different inventory than the physical stores since they operate separately for the most part. Popular items almost always sell out online first and take a bit longer to sell out in-store. If you’d like me to put in a call and check, just email me at contact@tokyopirates.com with your request. ^^
Hello! I’m afraid it’s not one I’ve come across yet, sorry! :(
Hi! ^^ Absolutely no idea, I’m afraid. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say…26th April or 3rd March. I reckon Sweetie Violet is coming next week if they get the site up and running by then, if not then probably the week after. After that maybe we’ll have Berry Garden and later Crystal Dream Carnival. These are just guesses though backed up by absolutely nothing, so don’t quote me on it. ;)
Hello :) Hmm, it depends on the bag’s condition/popularity, etc. but I’d estimate regular bags anywhere from 3,800 - 6,800 yen. More popular ones tend to be 9,800 yen and even very popular ones are usually under 15,000 yen. ^^ A simple, black AP bag is pretty easy to come by, yes. :)
Hello ^^ There are plenty of older print headbows sold in Closet Child, but the popular ones (such as the ones you mentioned) are less common and if they appear, they get snapped up quickly. Usually it’s only unpopular old prints that I see. :(
Hello, sorry for the supeeerbly slow reply. (>.<) I don’t have to wake up super early since the stores open at 11 am. I usually get up at between 7-8am because that gives me a few hours to check urgent emails, last minute-changes and any items that have arrived in stores. Lately though I’ve been working later so it’s been hard to get up early. I’ve had a lot of orders (hence the lack of updates here, sorry!). Tonight though I’m pulling an all-nighter and gonna get on top of everything no matter what! :D I’ll be back in routine and full form in no time. ^^
Hello, I’m afraid the navy JSK I is completely sold out in all stores now, sorry. :( I asked for a search on that a few weeks back, so unless they’re holding some in reserve it won’t be possible. There are still some skirts left though. I’m not sure about navy, but I’ve seen ivory, and another branch might possibly have navy skirts. I recommend stalking the auctions if you want the JSK.
Haha, thank you. I’m already picturing the mayhem! And you, oh lovely anonymous one, you have a money-making idea right there! xD
Hello, chances are extremely low by now, but some skirts and OPs were hanging around the Tokyo stores for a while, so there might still be some lurking in other branches of Japan. You can feel free to email me with what you’re looking for if you want me to investigate. ^^
Hello :D It’s hard to say since a lot of rare and popular prints pass through. The rarest ones are always the hardest to get since they’re usually bought as soon as they’re put out on sale (e.g. Elizabeth Bride of Death/Gloria, etc.). You pretty much have to be in the store when they’re put out in order to buy them.
The most expensive one I’ve seen in person so far was a recent Toy March set for something like 44,800 yen. A friend saw original Misty Sky at around 66,000 yen once. I’ve never seen Cat’s Tea Party though, sorry. (;_;)
The gothic section is definitely under-represented. They show only a tiny percentage of their stock online and not many people report on it (myself included, sorry!).
I’ve noticed that their stock turnover is much lower than regular lolita though. Although they have a lot of clothes, it’s often difficult to find the exact items/brand you’re looking for. I don’t see a large selection of MMM there. My theory is that it’s because it doesn’t go down in price much, so perhaps people try to sell via auctions or other means. I must admit I’m less experienced with the gothic side of lolita, but I’ll try to report on it more. :)
Erk! That’s a tough one. I guess I’d say Baby’s Secret Garden or A/P’s Elizabeth Bride of Death. Those are the ones that come to mind, but I’m probably forgetting like a million other series that would be hugely popular. >.<
